Support, connection,
shared experiences
Welcome to The Feed
Professional feeding support with a warm welcome, however you feed your baby.
The Feed brings parents and babies together in Stone for a relaxed morning of feeding support, conversation and connection with other local families.
Whether you breastfeed, bottle feed with formula or expressed milk, or use a combination, you’re welcome. Grab a brew and a biscuit, settle in and enjoy some time with other parents.
I’m Gem, the midwife behind Day One Midwife. I’ll be there each month to support you with feeding and talk through any questions or concerns you might have. Whether feeding feels difficult, you’ve worked through earlier challenges or things are going well, there’s a place for you at The Feed. Sharing your experiences can offer reassurance and encouragement to someone finding their feet.
Each month, a guest professional will join us to share their expertise and answer your questions, with some sessions including a taster activity or class. From baby sensory to first aid and more, it’s a chance to try something new and discover the support available locally.
Our guest will be revealed each month on social media, so keep an eye out to see what’s coming up on The Feed next.
We usually meet on the last Monday of each month, from 10am to 12pm, in the beautiful, bright Orangery at Stone Day Nursery. Our first session is on Monday 30th November, followed by Monday 21st December to fit around the festive season.
You’ll find floor seating and feeding cushions, with baby gyms and toys for your little one to enjoy. You’re welcome to bring anything else that will help you both feel comfortable.
Tickets are £4.95 for one adult and their baby and must be booked in advance below. There are 20 places available per session. Booking for our first session is open, with tickets for future sessions released two weeks beforehand.
If you’re concerned about tongue-tie, you’re welcome to come along, meet me and explore whether adjustments to feeding might help.
Full tongue-tie assessments need dedicated time and aren’t carried out during the group. You can also read my Understanding Tongue‑Tie Leaflet for more information.
